About Restaurant: Dine on Mexican cuisine with a touch of French flair at La Contenta. Our intimate, fun, cantina-like vibe is wonderful for enjoying a meal after work with friends or with a date. Chef-Owner Luis Arce Mota shows off his culinary skills with plates of flavorful dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. Tempura fish tacos, torta ahogada and our signature nachos make for palate pleasing appetizers at La Contenta. There are a variety of entrées for guests to choose from, including pollo en mole poblano and salmón al pastor. Partner and Mixologist Alex Valencia (formerly of Bathtub Gin and The Flatiron Room) is behind our robust cocktail program, and we feature one of the largest assortments of tequila, mezcal and “alt-agave” spirits in New York City!La Contenta is showcased in numerous publications including The New York Times, Forbes Travel Guide and The Village Voice.
