A sophisticated and elegant environment, the building is a converted skittle alley and still retains many original features. Haywards is owned and run by husband-and-wife team Amanda and Jahdre Hayward, and their experience and passion for offering high quality and exciting dishes is evident throughout your visit. Staff are well trained and offer exceptional customer service and the interesting and exciting dishes created in the kitchen consistently receive high praise. Although not open as a restaurant any longer, Haywards was awarded 3AA Rosettes in 2019 in addition to a number of accolades prior to this.

Catering: Contact us if you have a special event coming up. We can host your event at Haywards or we can cater for you in your home or a location of your choice. We can also offer ‘ready to cook/serve’ meals for you to collect and either cook or serve in your own home. This includes dinner party meals and buffets.

Private party facilities: We have a number of spaces available for private dining depending on your numbers. The Stable can accommodate 10-14 guests. We have two further spaces in which to host similar size parties or we can offer the whole main area for exclusive use which can seat 14-50 guests, or larger numbers for unseated, informal dining.
