About Restaurant: Open since 1985, this delightful, unpretentious restaurant in Forest Hill, London, is renowned for its stunning and innovative modern Indian cuisine. Babur’s stylish, earthy interior features exposed brick walls, natural wooden furniture and beautiful handmade Bengali artworks. The intimate atmosphere and sensational staff have made Babur a favourite dining destination with Forest Hill locals, and the food is worth making a trip across town for. We highly recommend the spicy sardine fish cake stuffed with caramelised figs; sandalwood ostrich infused with fenugreek; and black cod in spices and mustard oil with mustard mash. The wine list, designed by Peter McCombie, is also superb and features 16 wines by the glass, and 34 bottles for under £20.
